Hehe thanks :) I understand the relivance of a foundation course, I just don't like the idea of it that much.

They tried to convince me to do one of them too ... but lack of academic qualifications meant i couldn't do one (i do have some, but not enough lol).. all the others doing A level art had more than me and got to do the foundation, i didn't none of them as far as I know went on to do an art related job wheras I have been in the animation biz for 20+ years ... not saying a foundation course is useless, just saying its down to the person :D - good luck and remember to have fun!

Oh cool, so you're names hannah ^^ you're parents did seem to want to know a lot about the course :p sorry if I've spoken rudely about you at all in my blog, I so didn't expect any of the people at the open day to look at my blog O_o. I was gonna get my ucas form sent off pretty soon, and I was also going to apply for the foundation course at newport, just incase I don't get in. I'm being told by my art teacher that I should do a foundation course as apparently it was the best year of learning in his life. But a foundation doesn't seem to appeal to me, I really just wanna go straight onto the course, no matter how silly that makes me sound :P It sounded that great that :P.

The course does indeed look excellent.. The lecture and the uni itself were both very impressive! When do you think you'll apply? I'm worried about getting in, too. =(

Well if you think about it, 45 is a lot less compared to courses that take hundreds.

man 45? wow .. when I started on the animation course at Newport there was only 7 of us and that was in both years! and it wasn't at caerleon it was at fairoak a small ex primary school not too for from clarence place ... mind you, this was way back in 1985!

lol sure Hais :P I really liked life drawing even if she was um old and fat, its something different and I'm not bad at drawing the human form...I think :P, apparently there will be life drawing again, altho Wadders is doing it in January this year. which I shall be looking forward to :P.
